The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a roster of 22 players for a closed training camp in preparation for Nepal's second CWC League 2 series. Among the notable exclusions are left-arm pacer Pratish GC and Pawan Sarraf, who is currently sidelined with an injury after participating in the first series in February.
The squad features several promising additions, including allrounder Basir Ahamad, who earned his spot through outstanding performances with the Nepal A team. Accompanying him are left-arm pacer Rijan Dhakal, pacer Kamal Singh Airee, and emerging pacer Aakash Chand.
Spinners Surya Tamang and Sagar Dhakal have retained their places in the squad. Dhakal was part of the T20 World Cup team, showcasing his skills on an international stage. Wicketkeeper-batter Arjun Saud and Sundeep Jora have also made the cut, adding depth to the team’s batting lineup.
Nepal is set to tour Canada in September for the second Tri-series, competing against Oman and the host nation, Canada. In the opening series held on home soil in February, Nepal faced a challenging run, securing just one victory against the Netherlands and Namibia while suffering three defeats.
